2020 started with a bang for me. The beginning of each year is always a hectic time for me, but this year has seemed even busier than usual. When I get busier than normal, it is easy for me to reason that I owe my “real job” priority over other things in which I’m involved, and those other things include time I spend on Hollis Adams. Luckily, I occasionally need to stop by Hollis Adams during Hollis Adams Friends normal hours and I get to spend a little time with our participants. These visits always remind me that the things we do outside our “real jobs” help keep us balanced, even if they do cause our schedules to be more hectic.
At Hollis Adams, we could always use your help. You could help at dances, on outings, at BINGO, on our board or on our committees (finance, marketing, Opening the World, operational, governance, mud run, golf outing, etc.). We could use volunteers who can write grant applications, create marketing materials, communicate with our participants’ families or maintain databases. If you, or someone you know, would like to help, contact Gregg or Sarah at Hollis Adams. If you need some inspiration, stop by and spend some time at Hollis Adams Friends and see the fun you could be supporting.
